After quite some consideration I decided to restructure the blog. Here is the result of the restructuring in short: I will continue the blog, but only in German. The English posts hopefully remain accessible, but I will not add further entries in English.

So why do I take this step? When I started this blog I was full of enthusiasm and energy - probably like anybody else. I thought I was fluent in English. This holds true for conversational English I use on a regular basis, but the vocabulary and terms used for cooking cause more problems than I thought. Quite often I don’t know the translation for an ingredient or a cooking technique. That’s why the translation take a lot longer than I initially thought it would.

Since the response to the blog is hardly existent I think my decision to suspend the English version and to just continue in German is justifiable. I hope with this change I will publish more and bring a little bit more life to the blog. In the future I can sit down after a meal and write in 5 minutes what I just cooked and publish it. Better to have blog with more entries for a smaller audience than having a blog which is maintained insufficiently.
